Samoa Budget Overview for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024

The Minister of Finance, Mulipola Anarosa ‘Ale-Molio’, announced the allocation of $1.08 billion for the fiscal year 2023-2024. The government has increased the budget for social welfare by 11% compared to the previous year to support families, communities, and churches in the country. The allocated funds will be used for various government departments and programs.

The allocated budget for a single department for the fiscal year 2023/2024 is as follows:

  3. Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Labour – $18,926,871
  4. Samoa Tourism Authority – $7,171,354

  7. Ministry of Education, Sports, and Culture – $139,162,748
  8. Department of Archives and Public Records Samoa – $6,913,566
  9. Department of Buildings and Recreational Grounds of Samoa – $3,612,717
  10. National University of Samoa – $30,856,805
  11. Ministry of Finance – $114,471,307
  12. Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade – $27,205,455
  13. Ministry of Health – $146,544,809
  14. Kidneys Foundation Samoa – $10,875,819
