The last time a member of the royal family visited Samoa was when Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip undertook a tour of Commonwealth countries in 1977. Their visit included a 1 day stop in Samoa, and they arrived on the royal yacht HMS Britannia.
After the passing of the Queen, King Charles initially prioritised strengthening relationships within the United Kingdom, resulting in fewer overseas visits even after his coronation.
