Yesterday, the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI) kicked off its much-anticipated symposium at the picturesque Taumeasina Island Resort, with a theme centered around “Governance and Leadership Women.”
In his keynote address, Finance Minister Hon. Lautimuia Uelese Afoa Vaai emphasised the crucial role of robust Public Finance Management systems in fostering strong economies. “As Minister of Finance, I believe in robust Public Finance Management systems with effective controls to build strong economies. Our partnership with the Samoa Audit Office ensures continuous improvements in Public Finance Management, on which good governance is built,” stressed Hon. Lautimuia Uelese Afoa Vaai, underlining the significance of effective financial management in driving governance excellence.
