When the heart surrenders to the talent of rugby

Even though the Vaimoso Rugby Club has not reached the peak of many rugby tournaments they participate in, Coach Ta’iulu believes there is no reason to stop trying.

The Club is currently training to participate in the 36th Sevens Tournament of St. Joseph’s Malisi Club next month.

In an interview with Samoa Newshub, Vaimoso Club Head Coach Logino Stanley stated,

“God will reward the humble efforts of this team. In most of the competitions we participate in, if we don’t fall in the pool games, we lose in the quarter-finals. We rarely reach the championship round.

“However, the burning flame of trying does not end because it is my desire and also that of the management of this rugby club, that if one or two of our players make it to the Manu Samoa Sevens team, it will be to God’s glory.”

Additionally, Mr. Logino stated that the main goal is to continually push the youth of the village to improve and excel in rugby through any opportunities they can get, not just within our own country but also abroad.

As we all know, this is another foundation to prepare a happy and successful future for young people who have a passion for this sport.

Currently, as mentioned, the number of players has decreased due to unavoidable reasons, but God is gracious. Some of our supporters from abroad and Samoa, as well as some businesses, are helping with the camp’s support, uniforms, and training.

This sport has the power to unite the youth of Vaimoso, making them bearers who serve through sports, and there is always God’s time to lift them up.
