Southern Utah University is thrilled to announce the admission of Princess Jazzelle Viesca, a distinguished international student from Fa’asao Marist High School in American Samoa, into its vibrant community.
Originally hailing from the Philippines and currently residing in American Samoa, Viesca graduated as valedictorian of her high school, where she excelled in science, ranking second in the state. Her passion for scientific exploration has been demonstrated through notable achievements in various science fairs and competitions, representing American Samoa with pride. Her accomplishments include:
- 2nd Overall in the American Samoa Science Fair
- 2nd Overall in the American Samoa Science Symposium
- Finalist in the 2024 International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, California
- Representative of American Samoa in the 2024 Hawaii Junior Science and Humanities Symposium
