Buckingham Palace announced this morning that King Charles and his wife Camilla will undertake a tour that includes royal visits to Australia and Samoa.
In Australia, the King’s schedule will include events in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). The state visit to Samoa aims to celebrate the strong bilateral relationship between Samoa and the UK.
However, a palace spokesperson mentioned that Their Majesties will not be visiting New Zealand on this tour, following medical advice.
“The King’s doctors have recommended avoiding such an extended programme at this time to prioritize His Majesty’s continued recovery,” the spokesperson said.
“Their Majesties express their warmest thanks and good wishes to all parties for their ongoing support and understanding.”
