The MV Express II is in the final stages of routine maintenance at shipyards in American Samoa. The work includes a full inspection and repainting of the vessel to ensure its readiness for inter-island travel.

According to Samoa Shipping Corporation (SSC), the maintenance will be completed in the next few days, after which the vessel will return to service. SSC extended its gratitude to its staff, the Ministry of Works, Transport and Infrastructure (MWTI), and the maintenance team for their efforts in ensuring the safety and reliability of the ship.

The MV Express II is a key vessel for maritime transport between Upolu and Savai’i, serving communities that depend on consistent and safe inter-island connections.
