Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by unanimous decision in their rematch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, solidifying his position as the unified heavyweight champion. All three judges scored the fight 116-112 in favor of the Ukrainian, who remains unbeaten with a professional record of 23-0.

Despite Fury’s physical advantages in height and weight, Usyk’s precise tactics and technique dominated the bout. He landed 179 punches out of 423 thrown (42%), compared to Fury’s 144 out of 509 (28%).

This marks Usyk’s second victory over Fury this year, following a decision win in May at the same venue. Speaking after the fight, Usyk acknowledged Fury as a formidable opponent, saying, “He’s a great fighter, a great opponent. It was an unbelievable 24 rounds.”

Fury, whose record now stands at 34-2-1, left the ring without giving a post-fight interview. His promoter, Frank Warren, expressed frustration over the judges’ decision, questioning how Fury was awarded only four rounds.

The fight ended with a dramatic interruption during Usyk’s interview, as IBF champion Daniel Dubois entered the ring, demanding a rematch after his narrow loss to Usyk earlier this year. Dubois is set to defend his title against New Zealand’s Joseph Parker in February.

Usyk’s future opponents remain uncertain, but speculation includes the possibility of facing Dubois again or other contenders in the heavyweight division.

Fury’s loss raises questions about his career trajectory, with some commentators suggesting a potential clash with Anthony Joshua as a final chapter in his boxing career.
