Cabinet appoints Leasoiloa Faleupolu Ronnie Siaosi Aiolupotea as CEO of MCIT

The Prime Minister, Hon. La’auli Leimalietoa Leuatae Polata’ivao Fosi Schmidt, has announced the appointment of LeasoiloaFaleupolu Ronnie Siaosi Aiolupotea as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).

The appointment was confirmed on 24 December 2025 following Cabinet approval.

Mr Aiolupotea brings more than 20 years of experience across government and the private sector. He has been serving as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology since 4 May 2022.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Computer Science from the University of the South Pacific (2000), a Master of Information Technology from the University of Newcastle (2017), and a Certificate IV in Project Management (2019).

His appointment as CEO is for a three-year term.
