New Georgian Ambassador presents credentials to Samoa’s Head of State

His Excellency Mr. Beka Dvali has officially presented his Letters of Credence to the Head of State of Samoa, Afioga Tuimaleali’ifano Va’aletoa Sualauvi II, during a ceremony held this morning at the Official Residence in Vailele.

The presentation confirms Mr. Dvali as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Samoa, with residence in Canberra, Australia.

Samoa and Georgia established diplomatic ties on 12 March 2010 and continue to work together on matters of shared interest at the international level, including support for the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. Ambassador Dvali reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Samoa.

The Head of State welcomed the Ambassador and acknowledged the positive growth in Samoa–Georgia relations. He also expressed appreciation for the countries’ shared priorities, including democracy, peace and security, and human rights. Samoa reiterated its support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Ambassador Dvali brings over two decades of diplomatic experience. He holds a Masters of Law in Comparative and European Law from Maastricht University in the Netherlands and a Diploma in Law from Tbilisi State University. His previous postings include roles in the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and most recently South Africa, where he was also cross-accredited to 12 other African nations.

This is his second ambassadorial appointment, now covering Australia and several Pacific nations including Samoa. He is married with one son.
