Cabinet appoints Leota Namulau‘ulu Irasa Mauala Alafau as Samoa Water Authority CEO

Cabinet has approved the appointment of Leota Namulau‘ulu Irasa Mauala Alafau as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Water Authority.

The appointment is for a three-year term.

According to the Government Press Secretariat, Leota has served the Samoa Water Authority for many years and brings extensive experience to the role.

She replaces Fuimaono Dominic Fa‘ato‘ialemanu Tufuga Schwalger, who has resigned from the position.

The appointment places Leota at the head of one of Samoa’s key public service authorities, with responsibility for the country’s water services and the administration of the Samoa Water Authority.

The Government announcement was issued in both Samoan and English, confirming Cabinet’s decision and Leota’s selection for the position.
