Retail fuel prices in Samoa have increased from 1 June 2026, with petrol, diesel and kerosene all moving up under the latest price adjustment announced by the Minister of Finance.
Petrol has increased by 47.6 sene per litre, moving from $3.51 to $3.99 per litre. Diesel has increased by 80.4 sene per litre, from $4.50 to $5.31 per litre. Kerosene has increased by 96.9 sene per litre, from $4.05 to $5.02 per litre.
The new prices apply from 1 June to 30 June 2026 and are inclusive of VAGST.
The Ministry said the increases reflect the effect of the USA/Iran conflict on crude and refined petroleum prices. According to the release, the conflict has entered its 14th week, with crude and refined product prices still volatile.
The release also said reports that the United States and Iran were close to reaching an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz have not materialised, while global crude oil supply remains constrained.
The Ministry said the price increases in May and June now reflect the continuing effect of the conflict on refined product prices.
On fuel supply, the Government said it continues to work with its supplier, ExxonMobil. Further cargoes are scheduled to arrive this week and in early July.
This is a press release from the Minister of Finance, Mulipola Anarosa Ale-Molio’o.
