Cabinet has approved the appointment of Tamaletā Taimang Jensen as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Development Bank of Samoa.
The appointment is for a three-year term, according to a Cabinet release issued by the Government on Wednesday.
Tamaletā brings extensive leadership and governance experience to the role, having served in several senior positions.
His previous roles include Chairman of the Development Bank of Samoa Board of Directors and Chairman of the Government of Samoa’s Fono Fa’avae Project.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies and a Master of Business Studies from Massey University in New Zealand.
Tamaletā succeeds Muā’autau Raiē Silipa, who previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the Development Bank of Samoa.
The Development Bank of Samoa provides financial support for businesses, agriculture and development projects across the country.
