Code Avengers is a New Zealand-based company that provides fun and interactive programming lessons for kids, schoolteachers, and people going into coding professionally. Their courses focus on game design, C++, HTML, Python, and more, and are available in multiple languages. Code Avengers has partnered with BlueWave Wireless to bring coding education to Samoan villages.
BlueWave Wireless CEO Togisala Tony Sua Leota initiated the Pacific Code program to bring digital education to the remote Pacific islands, and Code Avengers was eager to join in. Through this partnership, they aim to provide training and support for teachers and students, as well as promote digital literacy in the region.
Code Avengers has already held one- to three-day “code camps” for students up to 17 years old in multiple states and foreign countries. They also offer professional development training for teachers to incorporate coding education into their curriculum.
Their approach is focused on making coding accessible and engaging for students of all ages. They utilize interactive exercises and games to teach coding concepts and make the learning process enjoyable. By combining fun and education, Code Avengers hopes to inspire a new generation of programmers.
Code Avengers’ CEO Hamish Day and COO Ray Allen have been actively involved in the Pacific Code program. Ray Allen has been working with Togisala Tony Sua Leota of BlueWave Wireless in Samoa on joint initiatives, including the opening of Pacific Code training programs at Palauli Primary School in Savai’i and Lotofaga in Apia.
By bringing coding education to remote villages, Code Avengers and BlueWave Wireless hope to empower students with the skills and knowledge to navigate the digital world and become creators themselves. With their fun and interactive approach, Code Avengers is making coding accessible to all, regardless of age or background.
