Yesterday, the Samoa Land Transport Authority inaugurated its operations for the year with a special prayer service, setting a spiritually guided tone for its Board and Management. The event was not just a ceremonial start but a call to align their work with higher principles.
Leota Kapeneta Perelini, a respected orator, led the service, centering his address on the powerful Samoan theme, “Aua le fefe i le tagata, a ia faia le fingalo o le Atua,” which translates to “Do not fear man, but do God’s will.” This message resonated deeply with the attendees, underscoring a commitment to integrity and divine guidance in their professional duties.

Lilomaiava Peter Punivalu, the Chairman, in his keynote speech, echoed this sentiment. He recognised the challenges of their work but emphasised the importance of collaboration, honesty, and courage, inspired by the theme. His words reinforced the idea that fulfilling God’s will should be the cornerstone of their service to the nation.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for divine support in the year’s undertakings, a reminder that their highest service lies in aligning their efforts with spiritual values. This theme of not fearing man but following God’s will set a profound precedent for the Samoa Land Transport Authority’s work ethic and objectives for 2024.
