The Samoa Fire and Emergency Services Authority management is not slackening in the execution of its duties to monitor the nation’s safety.
As schools reopen this season, the administration is also ready to restart its awareness programs in all schools across the country, to enhance children’s understanding of what to do in case of a fire emergency.

As mentioned by a representative of the Administration, Kathy Siaosi, “Fire emergency situations are very sensitive. As known from last year, there was an incident where a fire damaged a school.”
She continued, “The life of children is our priority. We are conducting inspections and training to ensure not only that children are aware of the steps to take to save their lives but also that they understand the equipment we use.”

Last September, the Administration recorded a decrease in the number of fire emergencies in our country.
