Donald Trump escapes serious injury after shooting at Pennsylvania rally

During a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Former President Donald Trump was rushed offstage with blood on his ear and face after a shooting incident. After Trump felt the first shot, he immediately dropped to the ground to avoid further shots, and Secret Service agents quickly surrounded him. Despite the chaos and screams from the crowd, the agents helped Trump to his feet, and he was seen pumping his fist as he was taken to a vehicle.

The Secret Service confirmed that Trump is safe. Trump later posted on Truth Social, thanking the Secret Service and law enforcement. He shared that he was shot in the upper part of his right ear, describing the immediate pain and bleeding, and expressed his gratitude with “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

Shooting at Trump rally

The shooting is being investigated as a possible assassination attempt. The shooter was killed by the Secret Service, and a rally attendee was also killed, with two others critically injured.

The Secret Service reported that the shooter fired from an elevated position outside the rally venue. Law enforcement sources referred to the shooter as a sniper. President Biden condemned the violence and called for unity in the country.

Rico Elmore, a former Pennsylvania legislative candidate, described how he tried to help a bleeding attendee by putting his hand on the person’s head. Elmore was visibly shaken but unharmed.

President Biden later condemned the violence, saying, “There’s no place in America for this kind of violence – it’s sick, it’s sick. It’s one of the reasons why we have to unite this country. We cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this.”
