The Honourable Judge Leota Raymond Schuster has authorised the placement of a restraining order for the protection of Sam’s well-being, according to a report by Lilomaiava Maina Misa Vai.

This decision follows the revelation by the lawyer in Court that there is an impending threat to the individuals detained and Sam.

Those detained were apprehended by the police and have confessed their involvement with Sam and providing information related to ongoing matters involving high profile individuals.

Another aspect of the injunction involves the appointment of a medical practitioner to assess Sam’s condition, as they were admitted to the hospital in Motootua on the 10th due to injuries sustained.

The woman appearing as a witness informed the police that Mr. Leinafo Taimalelagi Strickland is capable of providing crucial information regarding the case, but police testimony reveals a lack of cooperation from Sam due to their current medical condition.

Additionally, the court-appointed counsel has noted that investigations are ongoing regarding the circumstances of the detainee. It has been ordered that an evaluation be conducted by a medical professional, and Sam is to remain in custody pending further developments.

The hearing for Sam and Sivai’s case has been adjourned until the 13th of this month, awaiting the lawyer’s plea, which has been filed and awaits consideration by the court for release on the 20th.

Legal proceedings against the police officer involved in Sam’s case are still pending.
