The longest phone call

“Hello Father, are you there? Do you have a minute for me? I have a long list of things I want to talk to you about.”

Sinners receive a special on Sabbath every week. It is when they get free calls and free minutes just for a special call that lasts for hours, something that doesn’t happen throughout the week.

The writer understands that people normally get to call on Jesus either to thank or ask a favor from Him.

Unfortunately, there’s more to that which results in a lengthy conversation.

When people hurt us, we feel in our hearts that the best way to handle it is to share with our best friend about it, and that is God.

For that reason, it pushes us to tell the whole story from the cause of the problem to its effects.

The hardest part of the conversation with God is when you mention the name of the person who sees you as his/her enemy, only because you know deep down that revenge is not your thing, and you also believe that the hater is not a bad person who still deserves your best friend’s (God) grace.

During the call, the callers’ hearts melt when they hear Jesus speak through their hearts and minds on a peaceful Sabbath day. Sometimes, His response is far from what you expected, and once it heals the wounds in your heart, you will surely want the call to continue, which makes it become the longest phone-call that has ever been recorded in the week.

Ringing your best friend is one of the exciting habits in your life; let’s apply that to prayer and its nature.

Apart from praying to praise God, pray because you are aware of how much joy God will give to your heart. Pray when you are suffered, angry, confused, and so forth.

What makes it special is when you pray with the hope that God will bless your haters. Prayer is part of our daily routine, but due to busy schedules, people have, Sabbath is preferable for it to be so long and meaningful.

It is sad nowadays that many of us go to church with different purposes, instead of wanting to talk to Jesus in a proper conversation.

Happy Sabbath!
