SENESE Inclusive Education Seeks Urgent Relocation Support

Apia, Samoa – SENESE Inclusive Education Support Services Inc, a non-profit organisation dedicated to serving children with disabilities for over 30 years, urgently needs to relocate to a safer and larger facility. Currently, SENESE supports over 300 children with disabilities from Upolu and Savaii, providing crucial services such as speech therapy, educational resources, audiology services (sign language and hearing aid devices), teacher aide support, and follow-up sessions.

Despite its positive impact, SENESE has faced frequent relocations, having moved six times since 2010. Their current location in Vaitele, provided at no cost for the past four years, presents safety concerns due to its proximity to the roadside and is no longer sufficient for their expanding operations.

SENESE’s Manager, Mr. Sagato Vaoliko, emphasises the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and adults with hearing impairments who rely on their services. “It is clear that we have outgrown our current space and therefore need a bigger one,” he explains.

The organisation is appealing to the community for assistance in securing a suitable property that can accommodate its needs for the next 2 ½ years, while they await the construction of a new center. SENESE is willing to offer its services in return for the use of the property, committing to clean and upgrade the premises at no cost to the owner.

Individuals or organisations interested in supporting SENESE Inclusive Education’s relocation efforts are encouraged to contact the organisation at +685 7760300 or via email at [email protected].
