Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson’s Country Music dream

The 51-year-old Hollywood star has done many things, like acting, business, and wrestling in WWE. But he always remembers his late father, Rocky Johnson, who was also a wrestler and passed away in 2020 at 75.

His dad introduced him to Southern music when he was young. He says he used to sing country songs with his dad, like ones by Hank Jr., Hank Sr., Merle Haggard, and Johnny Paycheck. When he was 15 and broke, he even tried to become a country star himself, playing in Nashville honky-tonks.

Country music reminds him of his dad, and he misses him a lot. His dad wrestled before WWE, and they lived in many states because of it.

Now, the Black Adam star is in a music video for singer Chris Janson’s song and hopes they can perform together at the Grand Ole Opry in Tennessee as a tribute to his father. He calls it “A Night For Rocky” and thinks it will be more than just a show, but a special moment between them.
