Silva Group Corp, a company specialising in transport, construction, and engineering in Samoa, launched a new shipping service yesterday. The vessel, MV Fotu O Samoa II, was christened at the Inter Island Wharf in Fagatogo, according to a Facebook post by Manu’atele Community Worldwide.
The event was attended by matais and villagers from Manu’a. This new service is operated under the Samoa flagship, aiming to improve island connectivity and support local economies.
Currently holding several American Samoa Government (ASG) infrastructure contracts in Manu’a, Silva Group has set up temporary operations in a local residence at Fusi, Si’ufaga Ta’ū. This launch marks an expansion of Silva Group’s services within the Samoan archipelago, directly connecting more communities and resources.
