Celebrating 100 years of Marist Brothers Old Pupils Association in Samoa

This morning, Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa delivered a congratulatory speech celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Marist Brothers Old Pupils Association in Samoa.

The Marist Brothers association has flourished over the years, nurturing many young Samoan who have gone on to hold high positions in government, churches, and private organisations in Samoa and abroad.

In her gratitude, the Prime Minister acknowledged the enduring foundation of the Marist Brothers and their significant contribution to the nation’s development through the education of their students.

The commemorative events began with a respectful procession, followed by a religious service and the blessing of the birthday cake celebrating the Marist Brothers’ 100-year milestone.

Present at the ceremony were His Highness the Head of State of Samoa, Tuimaleali’ifano Va’aletoa Suālauvī II, the Deputy Speaker, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, and several Cabinet Ministers, all witnessing this long-anticipated event.
