Josh Tatofi, a Hawaiian musician, is currently in Samoa as part of his tour in the South Pacific. This week, he met with Samoa’s Head of State, Afioga Tuimalealiʻifano Vaʻaletoʻa Eti Sualauvi II, at his residence in Vailele.

During a press conference at the Digicel Headquarters, Tatofi stated, “These elements are the foundation of the region and are what make our people strong.”

Tatofi is a well-known figure in Hawaiian music, often referred to as the “Polynesian Luther Vandross” for his smooth, soulful voice. He has won multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, including Album of the Year for Pua Kiele and Male Vocalist of the Year. His album Pua Kiele also earned him a Grammy nomination in 2018 for Best Regional Roots Music Album.

His tour of the South Pacific, including his stop in Samoa, reflects his deep connection to the region and his commitment to celebrating and preserving its cultural heritage.

Tatofi’s concert in Samoa is scheduled for Saturday, 17 August, at the Multipurpose Gym in Tuanaimato. The event is expected to draw a large crowd, eager to hear the award-winning artist perform live.
