Manono-uta, Samoa – Manono-uta Primary School celebrated the opening of its new hall on Friday, a facility designed to support the school’s growing needs for a communal space. The ceremony was led by the Minister of Education and Culture, Seuula Ioane, and attended by local leaders, educators, parents, and students.

“This hall represents what we can achieve when we work together,” said Minister Seuula.

“It stands as a testament to the commitment of this community to the education and future of our children.”

The project, which took several months to complete, was made possible through a collaboration between the government, the school’s board, and contributions from parents. School Principal Fa’amatuainu Tasi Vaeau thanked all those involved in making the hall a reality.

“This is not just a building, but a space that will serve generations of students to come,” he said.

“It’s a place where we will celebrate, learn, and grow together.”

Minister Seuula encouraged the students to take responsibility for the facility, noting the importance of maintaining it for future use.

“To the children, this hall belongs to you, and you must take care of it. Let it be a space where you gather to learn and to dream.”

“Education is a partnership. We need parents to continue working with teachers to ensure that our children receive the best education possible,” he added.

The new hall is expected to be a venue for various school activities, including cultural events, assemblies, and community gatherings. The school board hinted at future projects but did not provide specifics.
