On their final day in Australia, King Charles III and Queen Camilla were warmly welcomed by large crowds, making it a memorable day filled with special moments. During a visit to the Melanoma Institute, King Charles shook hands with Nine News presenter Peter Overton, adding a personal touch to the day’s events. This was just one of the many engagements the royal couple attended before wrapping up their Australian tour.

Later, the King and Queen arrived at the famous Sydney Opera House, greeted by thunderous applause from thousands of excited fans. Queen Camilla, dressed in a beautiful long-sleeved white dress, received bouquets of flowers, while King Charles took a moment to pat a friendly Labrador in the crowd. Among those who met the royal couple was British actress Joanna Lumley, who had a friendly chat with them before her live tour performance later that evening.

A fun surprise awaited the King and Queen at the steps of the Opera House, where a group of schoolchildren performed a lively dance to the song “Follow Your Dreams,” from the 2024 School Spectacular. The royal couple watched with smiles, clearly enjoying the performance.

New South Wales Premier Chris Minns, although not a supporter of the monarchy, spent the day with the King and Queen. He praised their kindness and how well they connected with people from all backgrounds, noting the warm welcome they received from Australians regardless of political views.

To finish their tour in style, the King and Queen boarded a yacht to watch a grand fleet review in Sydney Harbour. They watched five navy ships anchored in the harbor while helicopters flew in formation overhead. A flyover by the Royal Australian Air Force made the farewell even more spectacular.

Despite a small disruption earlier when a man was arrested at the Opera House, the day was a huge success. The King and Queen’s final day in Australia ended with excitement and celebration, marking the perfect close to their tour Down Under.
