The completion of a partnership project with Sili Primary School will be celebrated with a ceremony on the 11th November 2024 in Savaii. For this project the German Embassy in Wellington contributed close to $30,000 Samoa Tala worth Desks and Chairs for the students plus some book shelves.

Project Manager to the German Consul’s Office in Samoa Afoa Stefan Szegedi1 stated, “During a visit to the school the principal had asked if it’s possible for them to receive Desks and Chairs since in several classrooms the students still have to sit on the floor since the school does have enough desks and chairs. Thanks to the support of the German Embassy in Wellington the school will now receive 100 new desks and chair.”

Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Wellington Winnie Switakowski who will be visiting Sili Primary School stated, “The enthusiasm for learning that I have witnessed at Sili Primary School has inspired me as a diplomat and as a mother. By providing chairs, desks, and shelves Germany and Samoa can support these children together to develop their abilities fully and collectively invest into the promising future of our young generation.”
