The Acting Minister of Finance has announced changes to Samoa’s retail fuel prices, effective from 1 December 2024. The adjustments include increases for petrol, diesel, and kerosene, reflecting global market trends.
Petrol prices have risen by 7.4 sene per liter, bringing the new price to $2.88. Diesel has increased by 12.1 sene to $2.99 per liter, while kerosene is up by 9.5 sene, now costing $2.61 per liter. The changes are based on October 2024 Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) marker prices.
The adjustments come amid fluctuating global oil markets influenced by the Middle East Crisis and uncertainty surrounding the November U.S. election.
