Leulumoega Fou College marked its 135th anniversary on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, in a ceremony attended by national leaders, church officials, staff, students, and alumni.

Hon. Seu’ula Ioane Tua’au delivered the keynote address, paying tribute to the long history of the college and its vital role in the development of Samoa’s education sector. He acknowledged the strong partnership between the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa and the government, noting that the church’s early leadership in establishing schools laid a foundation for the country’s educational progress.

“This milestone reflects the steadfast faith of Leulumoega Fou, God’s care over the years, and the Church’s vision to equip students not only spiritually but across all fields of knowledge and skill,” said Seu’ula.

The event also honoured the contributions of school leadership, teachers, and past graduates, many of whom now serve as national leaders, community figures, and ordained ministers. “Your service and contribution to Samoa are not small,” said Seu’ula, addressing the college community.

The government presented a gift of $20,000, along with educational resources including a monolingual dictionary and the complete Samoa Ne’i Galo series, in recognition of the college’s longstanding service.

As the celebrations concluded, Seu’ula expressed a blessing for the college’s continued success.

“May Leulumoega Fou remain a living fountain where the children of the church and Samoa come for knowledge and wisdom.”
