The Samoa Fire and Emergency Services Authority (SFESA) proudly acknowledges a vital addition to its emergency response capabilities with the formal handover of 25 Emergency Radio Network units.
The handover took place this afternoon at the Ministry of Police, Prisons & Corrections Services Headquarters, where SFESA Commissioner Tanuvasa Petone Mauga received the radios on behalf of the Authority Board of Directors, Management, and Staff.
This was made possible through the ongoing partnership between the Australian Federal Police and the Ministry of Police, Prisons & Corrections Services, and reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Samoa’s emergency communication systems and public safety infrastructure.
“These radios will contribute in advancing our day-to-day operations and will greatly boost communication during emergencies, natural disasters, or major incidents,” said Commissioner Tanuvasa Oloapu Petone Mauga.
SFESA extends its sincere appreciation to Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo and the Ministry of Police, Prisons & Corrections Services, also to Senior Responsible Officer – Superintendent Simon Penny and the Australian Federal Police, for their continued support and commitment to resource sharing. This collaboration demonstrates the collective strength of Samoa’s emergency services in keeping communities safe.
