Samoa’s fuel supply remains secure, with the National Emergency Operations Centre confirming that current reserve levels are above the Amber Level threshold.

In its second press release on the Fuel Response Plan, dated 10 June 2026, NEOC said Amber Level will remain in effect as a precautionary measure to support efficient fuel use and maintain national preparedness.

According to the update, Samoa currently has approximately 35 days of diesel, 40 days of petrol, and 64 days of kerosene and jet fuel available.

NEOC said all scheduled fuel tanker arrivals remain on track, with the next shipment expected on 4 July 2026. Further tanker arrivals are scheduled for 12 to 15 August and 21 to 24 September.

The Government said it is continuing precautionary conservation measures across all sectors, including mandatory conservation measures across Government ministries and corporations, daily monitoring of fuel reserves, preparedness protocols for possible escalation, and national awareness campaigns promoting fuel conservation.

Businesses, households, and communities are being encouraged to practise fuel conservation in their daily operations and support Government awareness campaigns.

In the Samoan version of the release, NEOC said: “O le sapalai o le suauu o loo malutia ma mautu talu mai le asō.”

NEOC said weekly situation updates will continue until the Amber Level is downgraded to Green Level.
