After securing victory in the World Series, New Zealand exhibited relentless determination as they charged into the quarterfinals of the London Sevens at Twickenham on Saturday.

Having already clinched the series title in Toulouse the previous weekend, the New Zealand team continued their winning streak, which now stands at an impressive 23 matches. They convincingly defeated the United States 35-17, host nation Britain 20-5, and South Africa 32-21, in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 50,000 basking in the warmth of the sun.

Meanwhile, Samoa was the only other team to emerge undefeated from their pool matches. Notably, they secured a 24-14 victory over Australia, as both teams are in contention for the fifth and final automatic qualification spot for the Paris Olympics next year. Australia can secure the spot by reaching the semifinals, while Samoa may have to win the London Sevens to have a chance.

The quarterfinal matchups on Sunday include Australia facing Fiji, Samoa taking on Britain, New Zealand playing against France, and Argentina meeting Ireland.

Remarkably, despite making only one pass throughout the entire first half, New Zealand managed to pull away from the United States with two tries by Leroy Carter.
