The LAVA Hotel Samoa, known for its picturesque location and stunning views, hosted a heartwarming Christmas celebration for vulnerable children under the care of Samoa Victim Support. This annual event, a cherished tradition at LAVA Hotel, invited the children to a day filled with festive cheer and delightful activities.
Led by the newly appointed General Manager, Mr. John Flanney, this year’s celebration was especially significant, marking his first participation in the event. The joyous gathering began with the enthusiastic LAVA staff serenading attendees with Christmas carols, setting the stage for an unforgettable day.
Filled with enthusiasm, the children displayed their singing and dancing talents, spreading joy and laughter. Adding to the festive atmosphere, youth from the Congregational Christian Church of Fugalei dazzled everyone with captivating dance performances. A poignant moment occurred as Mr. Flanney and LAVA Hotel managers served the children, embodying the spirit of servitude and compassion.
Amid the celebrations, the children enjoyed a movie screening, delicious food, and the day’s highlight – receiving presents from Santa Claus and the hotel staff. Overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude, the children reciprocated with a breathtaking dance performance, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
The event was emotionally stirring, with some hotel staff moved to tears by the impact of spreading joy among these remarkable children. “This annual Christmas celebration has been an exceptional opportunity for the children to experience a world beyond their daily lives. We are grateful to the General Manager of LAVA Hotel Samoa for providing such a memorable and joy-filled experience,” said Siliniu Lina Chang, President of SVSG.
