Apia, Samoa – The Samoa Chamber of Commerce & Industry has launched the Business Link Pacific (BLP) Co-Investment Fund, creating new financing opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The launch took place during the Chamber’s Members Meeting on 29 September at the Lava Hotel Conference Room.

The fund provides matched contributions to eligible MSMEs, supporting projects that promote business growth, job creation, and sustainable development. Depending on project size, the scheme will match business investments of SAT 25,000 to SAT 50,000, with contributions drawn from savings, loans, or other financing sources.

New Zealand High Commissioner to Samoa, H.E. Si’alei van Toor, delivered opening remarks at the event. She confirmed New Zealand’s investment of NZD 500,000 into the Co-Investment Fund and described it as a new grant facility to encourage innovation, social cohesion, climate resilience, and wider access to finance.

The fund builds on the broader BLP programme, which since 2019 has worked alongside the Samoa Chamber to make business advisory services more accessible and affordable for local enterprises.

The meeting, chaired by Chamber Treasurer Anish Chandra, also provided members with the opportunity to reaffirm the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening MSME development through partnerships.
