The Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Honourable Minister of Commerce, Industry & Labour, Fata Ryan Schuster, and his Committee, confirming a joint partnership for a four-year UN Trust Fund project aimed at addressing domestic violence in the constituency of Sagaga 2.
This partnership forms part of Samoa’s broader effort to support families and assist vulnerable members of the community. By working together, SVSG and the leadership of Sagaga 2 affirm their shared focus on safer homes, stronger community structures, and pathways that encourage long-term stability.
SVSG conveys its appreciation to Honourable Minister Fata Ryan Schuster for his leadership and his ongoing attention to the wellbeing of families in Sagaga 2. His approach sets a clear direction for lifting lives, restoring hope, and supporting every family in the constituency to live without violence.
Under the MOU, SVSG and the Sagaga 2 Committee will coordinate community initiatives, capacity-building programmes, and targeted interventions that address the root causes of domestic violence. The partnership recognises the important role of village leadership, government ministries, and civil society in creating safer futures.
SVSG values the trust placed in the organisation to collaborate with the constituency of Sagaga 2 and looks ahead to the work that will unfold over the next four years through a programme grounded in service, cooperation, and steady progress.
Together, the partners commit to reducing violence and supporting a safer Sagaga 2.
