A special announcement was held at Return to Paradise Resort on 11 December, led by the Minister of Finance, Hon Mulipola Anarosa Molio’o, to confirm the resort’s entry into Radisson Individuals membership. The event acknowledged the resort’s growth, its community foundations, and the wider impact on Samoa’s development.

The Minister recognised the resort as a project born from Lefaga district and established on customary land through the commitment of Samoan families. She noted the role of Sua Lemalu Afamasaga Ramona Su’a Pale, whose decision to return home and invest in her village set the foundation for the resort’s development and ongoing success.

Return to Paradise Resort is fully Samoan-owned and operated. Over the years, it has received several national and international tourism awards, including the Supreme Award of Excellence, Robert Louis Stevenson Best Tours, Best String Band, Champion Cultural Group, National Champion fire-knife dancers, the Prime Minister’s Culinary Cup, and Trip Advisor Travelers Choice recognition that places the resort among the top ten percent of properties worldwide.

The Minister also outlined the economic and social impact of the resort. Revenue generated remains in Samoa, supporting employment, local suppliers, community initiatives, and scholarships for young people. The resort further contributes to health support programmes, sporting teams such as Samoa Rugby and Toa Samoa, and environmental protection through its coral restoration work.

“Every tala earned here stays in Samoa, supporting jobs, local businesses, farmers, taxi operators, and community initiatives.”
