The Prime Minister, Hon. La’auli Leuatea Polata’ivao Fosi Schmidt, has announced Cabinet’s approval of the appointment of Fepulea’i Roger Toleafoa as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labour (MCIL) for a three-year term.
The announcement was made during the Prime Minister’s press conference on Wednesday, 24 December 2025.
Fepulea’i has served in the Ministry for more than two decades and was the Assistant Chief Executive Officer for 13 years before his appointment to the CEO role. His public service career spans 22 years within the same Ministry.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South Pacific, a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies, and a Master of Development Studies from the National University of Samoa.
His appointment follows Cabinet’s assessment and endorsement of his leadership experience and long-term service within the Ministry.
