CSL Samoa today announces a new partnership with the Animal Protection Society Samoa (APS), supporting the vital work they do in caring for vulnerable animals and strengthening communities across the country.

As one of Samoa’s most established ICT providers of nearly 50 years, CSL has built a strong legacy of enabling connectivity, innovation, and progress across the country. Today, with the launch of its refreshed brand identity and new positioning, “Think Smart”, CSL is stepping into a new era defined not just by technology, but by impact. This partnership with APS brings that vision to life.

APS plays a vital role in Samoa, rescuing abandoned and injured animals, providing medical care, facilitating adoptions, and educating communities on responsible animal care. Their work extends far beyond animal welfare. It contributes directly to public health, safety, and community wellbeing by reducing stray populations, preventing the spread of disease, and fostering a culture of compassion across the country.

Through this partnership, CSL is enabling APS to operate with the reliable, high-speed connectivity they need to deliver these critical services. This includes Starlink satellite internet, full installation, and 12 months of ongoing technical support, ensuring APS remains connected, supported, and future-ready.

In environments where consistency and reliability are essential, CSL delivers connectivity APS can depend on. This supports everything from coordinating animal rescues to managing records, engaging volunteers, and connecting with the wider community.

Because when organisations like APS are empowered with the right tools, the entire community benefits.

“At CSL, we don’t just provide technology, we stand behind the organisations that rely on it,” said David Main, CEO of CSL Samoa. “Think Smart is about using technology in meaningful ways to support those making a real difference. APS does critical work for Samoa, and we are proud to ensure they have the connectivity and support they can depend on every day.”

Valued at over WST $6,100, the partnership includes satellite internet hardware, installation, subscription services, and ongoing support, representing CSL’s commitment to delivering not just solutions, but trusted, long-term partnerships.

At APS, we believe deeply that pets are family. This is more than just a slogan, it is our commitment to treating every animal with compassion, dignity, and the highest standard of care, just as we would our own.

“The strength of our service lies in compassion and progress. Through advanced systems and dedicated veterinary care, we are able to ensure every animal receives the quality treatment they deserve,” says Leisha Ah Sang, Clinic Manager at APS.

“We are sincerely grateful to CSL for this meaningful partnership. Their support is not just improving our systems, it is helping us provide safer, more efficient care for every animal that comes through our doors. For our team, and for the families who trust us with their pets, this makes a real difference every single day and reflects a shared commitment to caring for our community.”

For APS, this marks a significant step forward in a vision long in the making, now brought to life through the implementation of a new computerized system, enabling safe and efficient record keeping for both clients and their beloved pets throughout their treatment journey.

As Mahatma Gandhi once said,

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”

As part of CSL’s rebrand, there is a renewed focus on partnerships that reflect Samoa’s core values of care, service, and community.

This collaboration will extend beyond connectivity into awareness initiatives, storytelling, and community engagement, helping to shine a light on the vital work APS carries out every day.

More than a service provider, CSL is proudly 100 percent Samoan owned, built on a genuine commitment to serve our people. We believe true progress is measured not only in connectivity, but in the lives we uplift, the communities we support, and the future we build together as Samoa.

Think Smart. Think Community. Think CSL.
