Lealali Faletoese Asaua appointed new SNPF chief executive

Cabinet has approved the appointment of Lealali Faletoese Asaua as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa National Provident Fund.

He has been appointed to lead the fund for a three-year term, succeeding outgoing chief executive Lemalu Selesitina Meni-Reti.

Lealali brings nearly 30 years of experience across the international, regional and public sectors, with an extensive background in finance, accounting and law.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji, where he received a gold medal.

He also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the South Pacific’s Samoa campus and a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Victoria University in Australia.

Lealali is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Samoa Institute of Accountants.

The Government announced the appointment in a Cabinet release issued on Saturday, 18 July 2026.
