Siufaga Maria Kolotita Kerslake will hold her final art session at Skyeye HQ in Lotopa on Thursday, 6 February. The session is part of a series of workshops designed for young artists, including painters, animators, and digital illustrators.
This initiative, the first of its kind in Samoa, began as a two-session program and has expanded to five due to strong community interest. Participants have explored techniques such as sketching, shading, acrylic blending, and digital art, with the upcoming session focusing on one-on-one reviews.
Siufaga, a 20-year-old illustrator, has gained recognition for her contributions to the Samoa Early Life Foundation’s Children’s Book Series. Her workshops have provided a platform for aspiring artists to learn new skills and develop their creativity.
The final session offers nine spots and runs from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Registrations can be made via the Maua app or through direct inquiries at [email protected]. Discounts are available for online payments.
This program demonstrates how mentorship and accessible workshops can nurture creativity in Samoa’s youth, encouraging artistic growth in the community.
