The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has confirmed that all five electricity generators are now fully operational. Today marks 23 days since the Proclamation of Emergency was declared in response to Samoa’s national energy crisis.
NEOC continues to coordinate response efforts with government ministries and other key agencies.
As of Friday, 18 April, ten submissions for assistance have been received; five from households and five from businesses. These are being reviewed through document checks and site inspections with the support of the Disaster Advisory Committee. More submissions are expected in the coming days as sector teams continue collecting information.
The deadline for submission is Friday, 25 April 2025.
