The Government of Samoa, through Samoa Shipping Services Limited (SSS), confirms the scheduled arrival of the MSC Magnifica at Matautu International Port on Thursday, 19 February 2026 at 7.00am.
SSS is the sole licensed crewing agent for Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) vessels in Samoa and will act as the official port agent for the vessel during its visit. The MSC Magnifica currently carries 15 Samoan crew members serving in various roles.
Crew movement
Eight Samoan crew members and one crew member from Morocco will disembark after completing their employment contracts. They will be replaced by eight Samoan crew members, who will embark to begin nine-month employment contracts under the MSC flag.

Total passengers on board: 2,176 (including 8 Samoan citizens)
Total crew on board: 1,006 (including 15 Samoan crew members)
Disembarking in Apia: 11 passengers (including 3 Samoan citizens)
The Government of Samoa acknowledges its long-standing partnership with MSC, which has provided employment opportunities for Samoan seafarers for more than 40 years. Through SSS, the Government recognises the contribution of Samoan crew members serving on MSC vessels internationally.
Members of the public are advised that SSS is coordinating with local authorities to support the safe and orderly movement of embarking and disembarking personnel.
