The Office of the Attorney General has formally acknowledged Ms Lucy Sio for her contribution to the Criminal Division during a recent four-week placement.
According to a statement from the Office, Ms Sio provided leadership, supervision and mentoring to lawyers, while sharing her legal knowledge, practical experience and professional expertise.
The Office said her support helped strengthen the capacity of the Criminal Division and contributed to the ongoing professional development of its legal officers.
Ms Sio was also recognised for taking time away from her own legal practice to return to the institution where she began her legal career.
Attorney General Mauga Precious Chang said the Office was deeply grateful for Ms Sio’s generosity, professionalism and dedication.
“It is particularly meaningful when former members of our Office return to share their knowledge and experience with the next generation of lawyers,” she said.
The Office said Ms Sio’s contribution reflected her continued commitment to public service, the legal profession and Samoa.
