Today, in a heartwarming celebration for the International Day of the Girl Child 2024, the newly appointed Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Apia, Mr. Daniel Tarapacki, shared his time and joy with the children at the Campus of Hope.

As part of his first official visit to the shelter run by the Samoa Victim Support Group, Mr. Tarapacki delighted the children by reading enchanting fairy tales.

His engaging storytelling captured their imaginations as he turned the pages of a colorful picture book, showcasing vibrant images of fairies and magical adventures. Laughter and smiles filled the hall as the children joined in the fun, bringing the stories to life together.

This special visit also celebrated the upcoming White Sunday, an annual day that highlights the importance of children in Samoa. Mr. Tarapacki’s presence honored the girl survivors of violence, showing them that they are cherished and supported.

Through his storytelling, the diplomat inspired the girls to dream big and believe in themselves. This year’s theme, “Girls Vision for the Future,” emphasizes that every child is a precious gift deserving of love, appreciation, and respect.
