On 5 January, President Tagiilima Maiava of the Savali a Keriso Ministry and members of the Hosanna Christian Church in Brisbane visited the SVSG Campus of Hope, bringing a monetary donation of $2000 SAT and gifts.
The friendly visit not only brought gifts for the children but also uplifted them and the Campus with a gospel performance of songs and praises. The songs and dances were a great comfort for the children in the shelter, as well as for the SVSG personnel.
It was a remarkable day for the children at the Campus to reflect on the goodness of the Lord through the inspiring and encouraging talks and performances by the Savali a Keriso Ministry. It reinforced the SVSG reintegration programme’s message that there is always hope for all of them, symbolised by the name of the Campus of Hope.
On 10 January, the Savali a Keriso Ministry returned to the campus, offering their time to prepare a barbecue for the children and serving ice cream. This thoughtful gesture helped create a loving and hopeful environment for the children, enabling them to move forward from the memories and experiences of violence and abuse.
The women members, in tears, expressed their admiration for the SVSG President’s passion and sacrifices through the organisation’s work. Elderly mothers praised God for His vision in guiding the SVSG President and all its partners, who have created the safe and supportive Campus of Hope for Samoa’s vulnerable children.
Afioga Siliniu Lina Chang expressed her gratitude to the President and members of the Savali a Keriso Ministry for their generosity and kindness, as well as their inspiring and empowering messages for the SVSG’s work.
The SVSG President also reflected on the organisation’s 20-year journey (2005–2025), sharing how the love sown through its work has now grown and returned manyfold, as written in the Bible.
