The Office of the Electoral Commission is encouraging all eligible Samoan citizens to register or update their voter details ahead of the 2025 General Elections. Registration centres are now open in Upolu, and a special outreach is planned for the big island of Savai‘i from Monday 9 June to Friday 13 June 2025.
Registration Centres in Upolu Now Open
Voter registration is currently available at:
- Tuanaimato Gym 1, for voters from Siumu to Falealili East.
- TATTE Building Conference Room (Ground Floor), Savalalo, for voters from the Apia to Sagaga area and beyond.
Opening hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9am – 8pm
- Saturday: 9am – 4pm

The Commission urges residents of these constituencies to take note of the dates, villages, and locations listed above for their registration services.
Required Documents for Registration
When registering, individuals must bring valid forms of identification:
- Birth certificate and one other valid ID, such as a driver’s licence, NPF ID, pension card, school ID, work ID, or government-issued ID
- Matai Title Confirmation Letter or Passport, if registering under a matai title
- If making changes due to relocation or health reasons, provide supporting documents such as official letters or utility bills
Samoans living overseas can begin their registration online at https://eis.oec.gov.ws. However, biometric verification, including fingerprinting, must still be completed in person in Samoa.
With the election timeline brought forward, overseas voters are urged to adjust their travel plans and return to Samoa early, before the electoral roll officially closes.
For those unable to attend during the listed dates, registration is also available at the Commission’s office at Mulinu‘u, as well as through mobile services announced separately.
