On April 17th, 2023, the Worship Centre Church announced the passing of their founder and spiritual leader, Apostle Viliamu Mafo’e. He was a man of great faith, who dedicated his life to spreading the Word of God to people across the globe. Mafo’e’s impact was felt not only within his own church, but also in the wider community through his outreach initiatives.
Under Mafo’e’s leadership, the Worship Centre Church grew from a small congregation to a global church with over 20,000 members and branches in more than 12 countries. He was a tireless worker for God, who knew no boundaries in his efforts to spread the message of hope and love.

The Youth for Christ movement issued a statement expressing their sadness at the loss of Mafo’e, who had served as their second national director in Samoa from the 1980s to the late 1990s.
