A spectacular show of talent was seen at the CCCS Vaitele Uta last week when the Samoa Police performed the opening number for the popular 13 Days of Christmas Programme.
Led by EFKS Vaitele Uta and TV1 Samoa, the programme was commended by Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mata’afa. This marks the 27th year since the programme began.
The Samoa Police are not new to opening the programme. In previous years, they have always been the opening act at this Christmas singing show, initiated to share the spirit of Christmas.
Prime Minister Fiame stated that the continuation of the programme every year prepares hearts and souls to welcome Jesus. She added, “This is the spirit and purpose of this programme continuing every year, to ready and prepare our hearts and souls for the entrance of Jesus Christ.”
“O le malamalama moni, o le fetuao o le talalelei o loo sulugia ai o tatou aiga aemaise o si o tatou atunuu,” she said.
She extended her gratitude to Rev. Muao Fagasua Su’a, Faletua, and the EFKS Vaitele Uta for their dedication in ensuring the programme continues each year.
The Prime Minister also thanked all those who support this programme, especially the choirs chosen to participate this year. Addressing the choirs, she reminded them that songs can preach, and their message will touch the hearts and souls of those who listen.
