Siufaga Primary School’s new campus in Falelatai was officially opened on 2 January 2025, in a ceremony that brought together community members, leaders, and government officials. The Honourable Seu’ula Ioane Tuā’au, Minister of Education and Culture, delivered the keynote speech.
In his remarks, Hon. Seu’ula acknowledged the collective effort behind the project. “E leai se matua e fia fa’aa’oga sona alo i se falea’oga e le ato’atoa ona lelei,” he said, noting that no parent wishes for their child to study in inadequate facilities. He extended his gratitude to the parents, school committee, and community for their dedication to creating a better learning environment.
Hon. Seu’ula said that quality facilities are essential for children’s education. “A lē lelei le fale, e leai se isi e fia nofo ai,” he said, proper infrastructure is vital for effective teaching and learning. He also urged students to take care of the new campus. “Ia aua le tusitusia le tino o le fale,” he added, encouraging them to respect the facility.
The new campus, which replaces outdated infrastructure, was built through the combined efforts of the community and various stakeholders. Hon. Seu’ula commended the perseverance and hard work of everyone involved.

The ceremony was attended by local leaders, including His Highness Tui A’ana Tuimalealiifano Vaaleto’a Sualauvi II, community elders, and representatives from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The event featured cultural performances and concluded with the official blessing and ribbon-cutting.

The new school reflects the community’s commitment to providing quality education for future generations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students and teachers alike.
