The Government of Samoa has officially granted a telecommunication license to SpaceX, enabling Starlink Samoa Ltd to provide high-speed Internet services and equipment in the country. This endorsement will enhance connectivity for Samoan residential and business users.

How to access Starlink services in Samoa:

  1. Direct purchase online
Customers can order directly from Starlink’s website.
  2. Local resellers and retailers
Starlink satellite units are available locally through:
    • Official resellers: Digicel and Vodafone.
    • Official retailers: CSL and Bluebird Lumber.

Important notices:

  • Overseas retailers like Noel Leeming, The Warehouse, or any unlicensed sellers are not authorized to sell Starlink products in Samoa.
  • Only resellers and retailers with written approval from SpaceX are recognized by Samoa’s Regulator.

Registering Starlink units:

Customers purchasing Starlink units abroad must register their devices in Samoa via Starlink’s website to access the local tariff. This avoids roaming charges and enables the $139 Tala per month unlimited residential plan. Tariffs for businesses and government offices are listed on Starlink’s website.

Legal reminder:

Selling Starlink units in Samoa without prior approval from the Regulator is illegal. Approved seller confirmations must be issued by SpaceX.

This initiative by the Government of Samoa demonstrates a commitment to improving Internet access, fostering economic development, and bridging the digital divide.
